Q. How do I know that I can trust an Age Line
caregiver in my home?
A. All Age Line employees are
subject to a thorough background investigation as well as
several personal interviews to ensure that they are of impeccable
character and genuine warmth. We wouldn't send our trained
professionals into your homes unless we felt certain that
we would invite them into our own.
Q. Do I have to sign some kind of binding contract?
A. No. There are no contracts.
Q. Is Age Line Certified?
A. Yes. Age Line is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities to provide non-medical transportation and homemaking / personal care under the Level 1 & IO (Individual Options Wavier Program).
Q. Does Age Line require that I use the service
for a minimum number of hours per week, month, or year?
A. No. Age Line only requires
that clients utilize any of our many services for one hour.
That way, if you use Age Line and are happy with our service,
you can continue on at your own pace and within your own budget.
If for some reason you don't feel that your needs are being
met, you are free to choose another provider.
Q. How long has Age Line been
in business?
A. Age Line has been helping
seniors and those with disabilities since 1994.
Q. Does Age Line have any
company credentials to help reassure me that they are legitimate
and of good standing?
A. Yes, we do. Age Line is
fully licensed and bonded, and we have a spotless record with
the Better Business Bureau. Age Line is also certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities to provide non-medical transportation and homemaking/personal care under the Level 1 & IO (Individual Options Wavier Program).
Q. Does Age Line have offices outside of the
Cleveland, Ohio area?
A. No. Currently Age Line serves
only Cleveland's west side.
Q. Will MediCare or Medicaid
assist me in paying for Age Line's services?
A. No. Age Line is a private
pay service, unaffiliated with MediCare and Medicaid.
Q. Will Age Line release my medical information
to any third party.
A. Not without your expressed
permission. Your medical information is completely private
and confidential.

Q. I'm not really sick. I just want to meet other
seniors and take advantage of Age Line's Adult Activity Center.
Is that okay?
A. Of course. Our Adult Activity
Center is about bringing people together. No man is an island,
and we are firmly committed to the notion that no senior should
have to live a life of desperate isolation--which, sadly,
is the plight of an unacceptably large fraction of today's
senior and disabled populations. We'd love to have you!
Q. What are the hours of operation for Age Line's
Adult Activity Center?
A. Age Line's Adult Activity
Center is open from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Q. How do I get to the Adult Activity Center?
A. If you are still able to
drive, click
here to go to our directions page. If not, feel
free to call 216-941-9990, and we'll arrange through our transportation
service to have you picked up and taken home.
Q. I want to go to the Adult Activity Center,
but I worry over the fact that I am incontinent. What should
I do?
A. Well, the first thing you
should do is stop worrying. It is our job to work with aging
and disabled adults, and unfortunate though it may be, incontinence
is something we deal with every day. There is no shame in
it, and we have trained and discrete professionals to help
you whenever you need them.

A. Each of our clients has
a unique set of needs, and pricing for our services varies
dependent upon those needs. If you would like to have a price
